Disney CEO Bob Iger says he “absolutely” thinks he can stay as Disney CEO despite some internal concerns about his ability to lead the company.
Speaking to investors in Tokyo, Mr Iger said he was “very confident” of remaining in the role for the long term and the company would “do the right thing” in its long-term plan.
“There is no doubt about it,” Mr Igers said.
“I don’t think the world is going to see any change in our CEO.
I don’t see it happening.”
The CEO also said the company was “still in the process” of addressing the challenges facing its operations.
Mr Iger also said Disney was “making a lot of progress” on the expansion of its Epcot and Hollywood Studios theme parks and he said Disney planned to “move ahead” with a “new generation” of rides at Disneyland.
