Dell CEO Michael Dell said in a blog post Thursday that he doesn’t have a direct investment relationship with Amazon.
“The only way to answer this question is to take a look at our own stock,” Dell wrote.
“We’re not going to invest in Amazon,” he added.
Dell, who was named the most valuable American company in 2015, also wrote that he would continue to invest at least in the next several years.
“I’m not investing more than I can afford,” he wrote.
Dell is in the midst of the worst downturn in years, as the company struggles to compete in a market that has seen some of the biggest drops in PC sales in the past decade.
The Dell brand is also the subject of a major antitrust lawsuit by the Trump administration, which is seeking to stop it from selling computers.
